Dee Fortier, Stylist and Salon Owner

Dee earned her hairdressing licence in 1980. After fifteen years as a stylist and salon trainer, she launched Deeva Hair In 1995. Through experience with many professional product lines and her affiliation with Eufora International, Dee continuously gleans fresh ideas and shares her expertise with industry colleagues.

Dee is committed to professionalism and continuing education in the salon industry. She makes herself available for workshops and seminars to share what she has learned. As an Educator for Eufora International, Dee travels throughout North America to learn and to teach. Her passion is to share with others.

As a stylist, Dee is committed to providing her clients with only the highest quality technical and customer service. She is a superb colourist, technical haircutter and hairdresser. She has mastered the art of building, maintaining and advancing a clientele. Her clients love her and many have seen her since the days before Deeva Hair was established.

Dee believes in supporting the community where she lives and works. She has organized and presented at The Elements of Style, an annual charity Hair Show in support of AIDS research. The Parkinson Society of Canada annual Cutathon also happens at Deeva Hair.

While working full-time as a stylist in Kitchener, Ontario during the early 1980’s, she began to compete. Dee progressed quickly to national and international competitions such as the  ABA, IBS, NAHA’s, Contessa and Mirror Awards.

(Dee’s first place finish qualified her to represent Ontario in the ABA Canadian championship, April 2003.)
